相传被唐明皇封为“南华真人”的庄子在《惠子相梁》中用“非练实不食，非梧桐不止，非醴泉不饮”，描述了凤凰神鸟的高贵、圣洁。

Tradition has it that Zhuang Zi who is crowned as “Cloistered Mastermind in Mt.Nanhua” by ming-huang. Zhuang Zi uses “ Phoenix won’t rest on trees except for the phoenix trees, won’t eat fruits except bamboo and won’t drink water except the refreshing spring” to describe the birds’ nobility and purity.

练实乃罕见竹果，象征稀贵；

Lianshi is a rare kind of bamboo, a symbol of rarity and value;

梧桐树茂盛耸立，象征祥瑞；

Plane trees are flourishing and towering, a symbol of auspicious fortune;

醴泉水清莹碧透，象征圣洁。

Water of Li Spring is clean and quiet, a symbol of holy and purity.

南华山上曲径通幽、竹林低吟，练实硕硕、梧桐茂密、醴泉汩汩，是为凤凰神鸟修行施德、繁衍生息之圣地。

Mt.Nanhua boosts winding road, bamboo forest, lots of fruits, and purling brook. It’s the noble place for Phoenix.
